Selective Biography

Jim Grant was born in 1967 in rural Yorkshire, U.K. He completed a BA(hons) in Fine Art (Painting) at Wimbledon School of Art before achieving an MA in Fine Art at Birmingham Polytechnic. Interested in the relationships between art and education he gained a PGCE and then a MA in Art and Design in Education at the Institute of Education, University College London. He has won a number of grants including a Conseil des arts et des letres du Quebec Production Grant and has exhibited nationally and internationally including the Walter Philips Gallery, Canada and the Pilgrim Gallery, London. He has also run and collaborated with(in) a large number of co-constructive projects in the UK and Canada. He currently works between London and his studio near Limoux, France.
